Weight Restriction on R704 Bridge Ballynooney East

For safety reasons KCC has introduced a 3.5 tonne weight restriction on R704 Regional Road bridge between Ballynooney East and Ballymartin until further notice.

Due to serious bridge damage, Kilkenny County Council has introduced a 3.5 Tonne weight restriction for safety reasons on the R704 Regional Road bridge between Ballynooney East and Ballymartin townlands.  The weight restriction will remain in place until further notice.

Vehicles whose gross weight exceeds 3.5 Tonnes are prohibited from using the bridge, irrespective of whether the vehicle is carrying a load. Heavier vehicles travelling between Mullinavat and New Ross should use the M9 and N25 route.

Kilkenny County Council apologise for any inconvenience caused.
